About
Nikola Fedorowicz is a Consultant at Ivy Planning Group (Ivy), a 33-year-old management consulting and training company that specializes in strategy, diversity, leadership and change management. Nikola is a part of Ivy’s quantitative and qualitative research assessment team. She codes and synthesizes qualitative data (e.g., data from interviews and focus groups), analyzes quantitative data, and compiles DEI findings into technical reports.
Prior to joining Ivy’s team, Nikola was a graduate student and worked at Aon where she focused on assessment and selection. She worked on projects for multinational aviation, financial, and automotive organizations, as well as government agencies. In her role, she conducted job analyses; developed competency models; identified appropriate selection tools; developed and validated situational judgment tests; and conducted adverse impact analyses, return on investment analyses, as well as validation studies when implementing selection tools.
During her time in graduate school, Nikola was a Research Assistant under a National Science Foundation (NSF) ADVANCE grant which aimed to promote the retention of minority and female faculty members in STEM-related fields. Nikola designed, distributed, and analyzed institutional-wide climate surveys to understand the current state and assess faculty experiences. Nikola then developed reports and presentations to deliver findings and recommendations to the Provost and college Deans. Throughout graduate school, Nikola was also involved in projects for the U.S. Department of Defense, the City of Houston’s Mayor’s Office, the Harris County Public Health Department, and the City of Houston’s Public Works. While working for these clients, Nikola conducted interviews and focus groups to identify diversity and climate-related concerns; developed and distributed organization-wide climate surveys; analyzed and synthesized data to identify race-based differences and climate-related issues; communicated findings using technical reports; identified barriers that hinder the effectiveness of public health programs; and collaborated with a team to develop and implement a diversity and inclusion training program using evidence-based practices.
Nikola earned Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from University of Houston and a B.A. degree in Psychology from Syracuse University. She is a member of Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Society for Occupational Health Psychology (SOHP), and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She regularly attends professional conferences coordinated by these organizations where she presents her ongoing research.
Nikola lives in Brooklyn, New York and enjoys traveling.
